By Bill Stork, DVM
My daughter Paige recently asked, “What are we doing on September 15?”
The Madison edition of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s was taking place, and she thought we should participate.
I asked what motivated her to get behind the cause.
“Everyone who ever knew my Grandma said she was the kindest person they had ever met. I believed them, but when she was affected by Alzheimer’s I was very young, and didn’t really get to know her. I don’t want that to happen to families in the future.”
Therefore, we are Team Stork. On Sunday, September 15, at 10AM, we will be walking with hundreds - if not thousands - of children, parents, and grandparents who have been affected by this dehumanizing monster.
You can support us by contributing, joining our team and walking with us, or with your thoughts and prayers.
Donations can be made online at our team page: http://act.alz.org/goto/teamstork
or can be accepted with gratitude at the Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic.
